2006 Montes Limited Selection Sauvignon Blanc (Leyda Valley, Chile)
An absolute must for summer drinking.  The Montes scores again with it’s limited selection 2006 Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a clear, crispy and fruit forward wine with light yellow-green color and wonderful clarity. The nose shows lots of citrus and mineral qualities with pretty floral undertones. Its cold zone origin, with the morning fogs, low temperatures, and long hang time helped develop a wonderful balance of ripe fruit and zippy acidity.

2006 Etude Pinot Noir Rosé (Napa Valley, USA)
Tony Soter has been making consistently good Pinot Noir in Napa Valley for many years, and his Pinot Noir rose has been just as good.  The 2006 has a beautiful pale pink color with vibrant and juicy aromas of just-picked strawberries and sweet oranges. Lush flavors of strawberries and pomegranate carry over on the palate and lead to a long, satisfying finish.

2006 Montes Limited Selection, Pinot Noir (Casablanca Valley, Chile)
The Wine Advocate’s Jay Miller called this wine one of the finest values in Pinot Noir. We’ll we tasted it and agreed. This Pinot has a nice dark ruby center, and classic cherry, strawberry and floral notes with hints of violets and berries.  It’s velvety smooth on the palate, and nice ripe fruits. Enjoy!!!

2005 Aglianico “Campole”, Alios  (Campania, Italy)
The Alois family is one of the most famous makers of beautiful silk fabrics in the world. Their work drapes the likes of the Louvre and the White House. They make use of ancient varieties in Campania, such as Aglianico, and with Italy’s famed Viticulturist Riccardo Cotarella their volcanic vineyards are worked bio-dynamically. The Campole is mouth-fillingly soft, with cherries, red currants, tobacco, and rosemary. The palate is a rich and full-body braced with a judicious blend of old and new oak. Juniper and wood spice carry through on the lingering finish.   Just lovely!!!

2005 “Menage a Trois” Red (Napa Valley, USA)
And who amongst us doesn’t want a “Menage a Trois”. Well, we are talking about the blending of Zinfandel, Merlot, and Cabernet to create a fruit forward style wine with a generous mouth feel and firm tannins.  It offers up tastes of red fruits, spice, and pretty floral aromas.  A silky smooth finish with good grip to finish make this wine a must for summer grilling and entertaining pool-side.

2006 Mollydooker Cabernet “The Maitre’d” (McLaren Vale, Australia)
Sarah and Sparky Marquis have made this whopping 16% Cabernet to go along with their tremendous array of wines.  The 2006 is even riper than the 2005, and that received mid 90 point scores from numerous reviewers.  It is a Cabernet that is meant to be drunk young and enjoyed as the hedonistic wine that it is.
