2005 Gruner Veltliner, “Gru-Vee”, Wolfgang (Austria, Burgenland)
regular price  $12.99   special price  $11.69
Wolfgang's Gru-Vee wines showcase remarkable examples of Austria's heralded Gruner Veltliner grape, the centerpiece of Austrian wines that has swiftly become sommeliers' favorite (and ours!) among the world's white varietals. Packed with the fresh, bright taste of young grapes plucked young from their vines, the charming taste of this wine is best enjoyed soon after its vintage to preserve its rich and intense flavor.

2004 Gavi di Gavi, Villa Sparina (Italy, Piedmonte)
regular price  $19.99   special price  $17.99
For the Moccagatta family, Gavi is a way of life and a source of inspiration.  Gavi is made from the Cortese grape, highly celebrated in Piedmonte as a way to serve the seafood restaurants. Always a favorite, this classic example has a pale straw color with a floral nose and hints of peach fragrances. It has a wonderful peach, pear, and lemony citrus flavors with hints of wet stone and a long finish.

2006 Ch Grande Cassagne Rosé (France, Costieres de Nimes)
regular price  $9.99            special price  $8.99
Château Grande Cassagne is a small estate on the western edge of the Rhône Valley run by the Darde brothers, whose first vintage was fourteen years ago. This rosé is a blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah. A light ruby-salmon in the glass, it is fully loaded with depth, complexity and personality. On the palate rich, lively strawberry, raspberry and cherry flavors are present. It shows impressive balance, medium body, a smooth mouth-feel and a persistent, crisp, dry finish.

2005 Chianti, Ducceto, Bartali (Italy, Tuscany)
regular price  $12.99   special price  $11.69
Started in 1927, Bartali is a true family run estate in the heart of Chianti.  This wine is a blend of sangiovese and cannaiolo; it is soft and approachable with characteristic red berry aromas and flavors.  This is the perfect wine to buy by the case because it is perfect with all types of food and is very lovely on its own.

2004 Cotes du Rhone, Les Vieilles Vignes, Santa Duc (France, Rhone)
regular price  $12.99   special price  $11.69
Yves Gras of Domaine Santa Duc is a legendary producer of Gigondas, and has bottled  this old-vines cuvée of Côtes du Rhône. The Vieilles Vignes is 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre with an average vine age of 40+ years. The fruit is harvested very late – sûr maturité (super ripe). It is an elegant, medium-bodied, straightforward red with good berry fruit.

2002 Renwood Old Vine Zinfandel (United States, CA, Amador County)
regular price  $18.99 special price  $17.09
The flagship for all Renwood wines; this distinctive Zinfandel comes from over a dozen of Amador County's oldest and most venerable vineyards averaging at least 50 years. These low-yielding sites provide a wonderful selection of even ripened, concentrated fruit that gives us great complexity and depth. The bouquet consists of brown sugar, caramel, sage, eucalyptus, and bursting with dark berry fruit. The flavor is a sumptuous blend of warm blackberries, with a hint of dried fruit, finishing with sweet fleshy tannins.

2004 The Love Grass Shiraz, d’Arenberg (Australia, McLaren Vale)
regular price  $17.99   special price  $16.19
A wild grass grows in the vineyards and during harvest the sticky, Velcro-like, long stemmed flowers affectionately attach themselves to the vineyard worker’s socks.  They even get caught in Coco, the winery dog’s coat and have to be brushed out!  This Shiraz will linger with you much the same way the sticky flowers do and, as such, the family thought it fitting to name this wine ‘The Love Grass’.  This is a big wine, with complex floral, dark fruit and spice aromas with a full-bodied palate of plum, mulberry, pepper and clove.
