2006 Grenache, Borsao “Tres Picos” (Borja, Spain)
The 2005 Tres Picos Garnacha is purple-colored with a cherry-scented nose that roars from the glass. It is intensely fruity, with terrific depth and concentration, oodles of sweet fruit, and terrific length. This wine, which can be likened to cherry pie in a glass, is an awesome value. 91pts Wine Advocate

2005 Grenache, Betts & Scholl “The O.G.” (Barossa Valley, Australia)
A collaboration between Master Sommelier Richard Betts and wine aficionado Dennis Scholl, Betts and Scholl's OG--Original Grenache--is straight out of the Barossa, as they call it 'old vines with attitude'. Soft and seductive, with a generous mouthful of strawberries, flowers, earth and spice.  92 Pts Wine Spectator

2004 Syrah, Bonny-Doon “Le Pousseur” (Santa Cruz, California)
An exceptional example of this varietal. It reveals an opaque purple color, a huge, smoky, cassis-scented bouquet, and layers of rich, thick, chewy fruit presented in a full-bodied format with plenty of tannin lurking beneath the all that concentration. Simply put, an explosively rich and complex Syrah.

2005 Zinfandel, Runquist “Massoni Ranch” (Amador, California)
An opaque dark ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of crushed rocks, spring flowers, blueberries, black raspberries, and kirsch. This complex, dense, full-bodied Zin possesses good underlying minerality as well as beautifully integrated acidity and tannin.

2006 Shiraz, Mollydooker “the Boxer” (Barossa Valley, Australia)
The 2006 Shiraz “The Boxer” is opaque purple. The compelling nose exhibits aromas of scorched earth, smoke, grilled bacon, blueberry compote, and blackberry liqueur. Full-bodied, thick and rich, this layered Shiraz is velvety-textured and opulent. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. It is a sensational value.   94pts Wine Advocate
