2006 Avondale Chenin Blanc (Paarl, South Africa)
100% Organicly grown with a strong bio-preservation/biodiversity philosophy in the sustaining the vineyards. Pale, bright yellow. Slightly exotic but pure aromas of lime, grapefruit, pineapple, quince and honey. Dense, ripe and juicy; perked up by some unabsorbed CO2 but essentially a pliant, ripe style with tangy peach and lime flavors and good intensity and freshness. Finishes with piquant notes of lime, melon, kiwi and mint.

2005 Macon-Vergisson "la Roche" Verget (Burgundy, France)
The fleshy 2005 Macon-Vergisson La Roche sports chalky mineral aromas as well as a light to medium-bodied, expansive personality. A wine of outstanding purity, detail, and length, it offers liquid mineral and resiny flavors. While not a powerhouse, this feminine, elegant wine is beautifully defined, flavorful, and reveals a long, seamless finish.

2006 Ludovicus Red (Terra Alta, Spain)
A fine value is the 3,000-case cuvee of 2006 Ludovicus, a tank-fermented and oak-aged (for three months) wine made from 35% Grenache, 30% Tempranillo, 25% Syrah, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with a gorgeously sexy nose of kirsch liqueur, licorice, and pepper. Richly fruity, spicy, opulent, and pure, it is an unbelievable value.

2003 Falset Old Vines (Montsant, Spain)
This is blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep purple red with intense aromas of blackberries, jam and cinnamon. On the palate is expansive and rich, integrated with firm fruit tannins of perfect ripeness. Lots of lush red berries, balance in freshness, with a persistent long finish.

2005 Chateau Bernadotte (Bordeaux, France)
Owned by Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande since 1997, the 2005 Bernadotte is situated on an outstanding terroir - Château Latour just purchased the nearby plot -, is a fine and well-balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The fresh and opulent nose offers red fruit flavors like black currant, raspberry and soft spices like cinnamon.
